Md. Mehedi Hasan (Siam)
Founding member and Admin; Hasan completed his DVM Masters (MS in Medicine) degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University in December 2017 and November 2019, respectively. He has been conducting his research with the group of Population Medicine and Antimicrobial Resistance Laboratory, Department of Medicine in the same university. He worked on antimicrobial-resistance in some foodborne bacteria from chickens and cattle in the laboratory. Now he is looking for a Ph.D. position in a world-class laboratory leading research on Epidemiology/Bacteriology particularly, Antimicrobial Resistance or relevant field having public health significance. Md Ramim Tanver Rahman
Founding member, Admin and Content creator; Mr Rahman completed BSc in Food Engineer from BAU. Then he started Master in Management of Technology at BUET in the meantime he has been selected for CSC (China Govt) Scholarship by Bangladesh Education Ministry to pursue MEngg in Food Science & Technology. After successful completion of the MEngg degree with many SCI articles (first and co-author ), he received CAS-TWAS PhD Fellowship. But he didn't continue this prestigious fellowship because he received a fully funded call from Laval University, Quebec, Canada to perform cutting edge research. Founding member and Admin; Hi! I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemistry at University of Otago, New Zealand. My PhD projects are all about pesticide fate and transport through air, soil and plants. I am using both modeling and experimental approaches to study pesticides behavior. I obtained my bachelor (in Agriculture) and master degree (in Soil Science) from Bangladesh Agricultural University. I was also appointed as 34th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Cadre as Scientific Officer in 2015. A.G.M.Sofi Uddin Mahamud
Moderator; This is A.G.M.Sofi Uddin Mahamud (Tonmoy Rupok), who completed his bachelor’s degree (Session 2014-15) from Faculty of Fisheries, Bangladesh Agricultural University in March 2019. During undergraduate studies, he was involved with multiple fields of research including Fish Pathology, Fish Nutrition, and Plant Physiology. And he has successfully published one scientific paper in the MDPI journal and few papers are under review. Besides this, he was Campus Ambassador of ‘English Olympiad, YPARD Bangladesh’ and member of ‘BADHAN and Work for Green’. He has been selected for CSC Scholarship and presently studying in MS degree under the School of Food Science and Technology, South China University of Technology, China, with conducting research focus on protein chemistry and meat science. Farhana Najnine
Founding Member and Admin; I’m doing a Ph.D. in Food Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, China from 2018. I did my Master of Science in plant pathology in 2015 and completed BSc in Agriculture in 2013. I am doing my Ph.D. with SCUT International Scholarship for Excellence and Guangdong Provincial Government Outstanding Foreign Student Scholarship. Md Nasim Reza:
Founding member and Admin; Hi, I am from South Korea, currently, I am a Ph.D. student and researcher at the Department of Rural and Biosystems Engineering, Chonnam National University, Gwangju, Korea. My research areas are precision farming, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), remote sensing, and image processing, 3D modeling. I completed my B.Sc. degree from the faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, BAU and I received an M.S. degree in Agricultural Machinery Engineering from Sunchon National University, Suncheon, Korea. I also conducted research on Greenhouse, heat transfer modeling and heat loss. I would like to help BAUians in their higher study journey. Anas Rahman
Founding member and Admin; Anas completed his bachelor from the Faculty of Agriculture at BAU and MS in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the same university. He is currently involved in several research projects funded by UGC, BARC, and KGF having active collaboration with BAU. His research area mainly encompasses the Biometrical Genetics and Molecular breeding for Plant Viral resistance. Meanwhile, he is also a higher study aspirant with no visible gain yet! Md Nazmus Saqib
Founder member and Admin; Saqib is a doctoral candidate in Food Science at Jiangnan University, Wuxi China. After completing a Bachelor in Food Engineering in 2014 from Faculty of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh Agricultural University, he achieved a Masters in Food Engineering in 2016 from the same institution. He conducted his research on pesticide residue of fresh produce at Pesticide Analytical lab, Entomology Division, BARI which opens the door for the students of Food Engineering to conduct research elsewhere other than host intuitions. After that he got himself admitted to the Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), BUET for Masters in Management of Technology. He also joined as an officer of the Quality Assurance team at Mutual Food Products Limited (Manufacturer of Horlicks) and served there for more than a year. In the meantime, he was awarded Chinese Government Scholarship and left Bangladesh to pursue his Ph.D. He is well renowned for his voluntary activity which he continues abroad. Razia Sultana Dipa
Founding member and Admin; Hello, I am Razia Sultana Dipa. I have started my journey in Agriculture at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. After my master's in Seed Science and Technology I have started my career in Lal Teer Seed Company, the first-ever private seed company in Bangladesh. After working here around 2.5 years I have joined British American Tobacco as an Agronomy Officer. Now I am doing my other Master's in Food Science at the University of Manitoba, Canada.
